Pre-release draft. The application has not yet been published. This policy describes current behaviour and is pending legal review before public launch.
Y90 Dosimetry Education is an educational tool for healthcare professionals. It has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side record of who you are.
The app is designed so that certain data cannot be collected, rather than merely promising not to collect it.
To understand which features are used, the app sends a small set of events to infrastructure we operate ourselves. Each event contains only:
| Field | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Installation identifier | random UUID | Created on first launch, stored on your device |
| Event name | explainer_opened | From a fixed list |
| Event property | model: partition | From a fixed list of permitted values |
| App version and build | 1.0 | |
| Platform and OS version | ios 18.0 | |
| Country and region | US, VA | See 3.2 |
| Timestamps | When the event occurred and was received |
The installation identifier is not a device identifier. It is a random value created by the app, unique to that installation. It is not your Advertising Identifier, not your device's vendor identifier, and cannot be used to recognise you in any other app or on any website. Deleting the app destroys it; reinstalling produces an unrelated new value.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings → About → "Share Anonymous Usage Data". The change takes effect immediately and clears anything not yet sent.
We record the country and state or region an event came from. This is derived at our content delivery network's edge from the network connection.
Released builds report crashes and errors to Sentry, a third-party error monitoring service, so we can find and fix defects. A crash report may include the error and stack trace, app version, device model, operating system version, and a technical trace of the actions leading to the error.
Crash reporting is active only in released builds. Session recording and screen capture are not enabled.
The following never leave your device: your acknowledgement of the disclaimer, your theme and font preferences, your analytics opt-out setting, and any events queued while offline.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app; to diagnose crashes; and to understand aggregate feature usage. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
For users in the EEA and UK, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app, and consent where required for analytics — which the in-app toggle provides.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Data is processed by:
We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy governs until superseded.
Because we hold no information that identifies you, we generally cannot locate "your" data on request — the installation identifier is random and not linked to any person. You can nonetheless:
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, comparable state laws, and the EU and UK GDPR — you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information, and to appeal a denial. We honour these requests to the extent the data is identifiable, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
The app is intended for healthcare professionals and trainees. It is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We operate in the United States and data is processed there. If you use the app from outside the United States, you understand that data is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Stored analytics data is encrypted at rest, with access restricted to us. No system is perfectly secure, though because we hold no identifying information the consequences of a compromise are correspondingly limited.
We will post any change here and update the date above. Material changes will be signalled in the app.
